In February, a world first event was held on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation in Box Hill, Victoria. Raising Our Tribal Voices for Justice brought Indigenous Church leaders and theologians together on a national platform. Hosted by the University Of Divinity’s School Of Indigenous Studies and held at St Paschal Chapel across four days, this conference served as a platform for profound intercultural dialogue and spiritual exploration.

Clare Shearman represented Heart of Life with Cathie Lambert from Dayspring, and Kathy Cave from Wellspring. Their presence was made possible by funding from the Patrick and Anthony Wright Formation and Education Fund.

Clare, Cathie and Kathy were tasked with attending and actively participating in the conference, with a particular focus on engaging in a workshop titled “Inner Deep Listening.”

A full report of their participation can be found here. This marks what we hope will be an ongoing engagement between the School of Indigenous Studies and Heart of Life.
