Part A – 6 x Wednesdays, 9.45am–12.45pm, 28 Feb to 17 Apr (excl 27/3-3/4), in-person or online

This seminar is for all who are interested in living an ethical life, with a focus for people in ministry—priests, pastors, chaplains, pastoral care practitioners, professional supervisors and spiritual directors. It studies the philosophy of ethics and provides an opportunity for us to consider our lived experience of taking (or not taking) ethical stances. It will encourage us to develop our own personal ethical framework. It will also look at professional standards in different disciplines in light of the findings of The Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse in Australia.

Part B – 6 x Wednesdays, 9.45am–12.45pm, 24 Apr to 29 May, in-person or online

This seminar is an opportunity to slow down and grow in appreciation of the rich tapestry of God in our lives, giving insights that help us to remain with others in their struggles and their joys. It offers space to reflect on experiences described by classical writers about God and prayer, and to explore our own experience of God, while incorporating visual and narrative arts, images and imagination.

*Recommended as professional development for spiritual directors and others in ministry
