EMMAUS SUPERVISION PROGRAM ACHIEVES AAOS RECOGNITION
Heart of Life Centre for Spiritual and Pastoral Formation – a ministry of the Missionaries of the Sacred Heart – is proud to announce that its Emmaus Supervision Program has been recognised as a “Registered Supervisor Training Program” by the Australasian Association of Supervision.
Emmaus is one of only six professional supervision programs in Australia to be recognised in this way.
Participants commencing studies in Emmaus are now eligible to join the Australasian Association of Supervision (AAOS) as Associate Members, and when they have completed the program, can apply for full membership.
AAOS is the peak body in Australia supporting Supervision as a profession. It has been providing this service since 2002. Heart of Life is looking forward to joining AAOS in advancing the profession of Supervision with its members.
Director of Heart of Life, Clare Shearman said, “I am delighted with this news. The program has been well designed and has received excellent feedback from its students. The recognition by AAOS is an important step in once again affirming our 40-year reputation for quality formation programs. This recognition will serve the wider body of the Church by providing the community with confidence that Emmaus supervisors are well trained and competent, ready to meet the large need that exists for individual and group supervision outlined in the recommendations of the Royal Commission.”
Details about joining the 2023 Emmaus Supervision Program can be found here.
Heart of Life offers independent individual and group supervision. Further information is available here.
